Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author as well as a model and actress. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. She grew up in an artistic family from New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of art. The first job she had was an assistant to photographers. She then moved on to acting and modeling. She won the Golden Globe Award in 1990 because she was a promising actress. MacGraw's feature film Love Story was an international hit, earning the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. After only three movies MacGraw was named one of the most successful women in box office history. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature, hand-prints and foot prints in the year 1972. Other films she has appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw has been married three times.
